About sukifleet

Suki Fleet currently lives in the heart of England. Her childhood was quite unconventional and she spent some time living on a boat and travelling at sea with her family. Since she was very small she has always dreamed of writing for a living, but though she has written original fiction online for years and encouraged many new writers to keep going and follow their author dreams, it is only recently she got the courage to make her own dream a reality and actually send something off to a publisher. By day she runs her own business selling fabric (her second love) and juggling family commitments, by night she weaves the stories that the characters in her head dictate. These stories often start with pain or longing but always end with love.

Hi, I liked your novel Foxes very much. It is interesting and beautiful. I’ve just subscribed to newsletter, but maybe it is possible to receive the letter with a short story about Danny and Micky? Thanks in advance.

Hi! I’m a huge fan of your work, with Foxes being one of my favorite books of all time. I just got finished re-reading it after I bought the actual paperback (previously read the e-book), and it just reaffirmed my absolute love for your writing and the characters of Danny and Micky. I just found this blog, and I was hoping you could send me the short story from your 1st newsletter. Looking forward to reading more of your work!! Thank you so much for your writing. It’s inspiring in so many ways.

      ❤ Kira, thank you.
Yes, no problem at all, I’ll try and sent the short story over to you at some point today 🙂

        Thank you!
I wrote today for the first time in awhile and I feel like I’m finding inspiration again in part due to the marathon reading sesh I had of Foxes this weekend. Something about the style just really gets to me. A lot of that book really gets to me.
I was also wondering if you’ve ever done any kind of write up about the name theme going on in it? I saw you mention there is one in one of your blog posts, so I’m glad to know it was in fact on purpose, but would love to know more about the reasoning behind it! But I also get if it’s one of those things the author sneaks in to make the reader think and isn’t meant to be 100% explained. It definitely makes me think a lot about what each character means in that world and the similarities and differences between them, and what that specific connection could possibly mean both when it’s used and when it’s not…
Anyway, thanks again and it’s a little humbling but awesome to get to connect with you here. 🙂

Aw, thank you ❤ It's inspiring to hear you've been inspired! I often find reading something I really connect to helps when I'm feeling a bit stuck (that or going for a long walk!).
Lol, yes, the name thing. I put these things in as it makes me happy and I always wonder if people will notice. To be honest, I think people have found the name thing more confusing than anything, though 😉 As I wrote it characters with the D names were those that helped Danny grow in specific ways. I guess that's as far as I'm going to go, so please read into that what you will XD
I've sent a copy of the newsletter with the short story to your email address. Please let me know if you don't get it!
