Siren

Siren Cover (2)

The idea for Siren came from a much longer fantasy story that involved a whole world of fairies called The Dark, a boarding school, and a fight between good and evil (I have never finished it).

I wanted to write a sweet, light, One Shot that was definitely adult, about how two of the secondary characters—who I adored—got together, and so Siren was born.

Grey is in love with Si but he’s older and he’s certain Si is not interested. Oh how wrong he is!  🙂

I’m not sure how to categorize it. It is fantasy (Siren is a fairy and Grey has certain powers, that I don’t go into detail about ) but it’s also set in contemporary England.

I wrote this story a month before I started writing This is Not a Love Story at the end of 2011 (This is Not a Love Story took 18 months in total to complete—mostly because I took a break in the middle) and Siren was only the second M/M romance I’d ever completed. But once I’d completed two stories it was as though I’d found my groove and I’ve been writing mostly everyday since!

Siren is a free short story I am releasing 1st September on Smashwords, Amazon and Goodreads (and ARe if I can work out how).

Also, my husband designed the cover. I think it’s pretty awesome XD

About sukifleet

Suki Fleet currently lives in the heart of England. Her childhood was quite unconventional and she spent some time living on a boat and travelling at sea with her family. Since she was very small she has always dreamed of writing for a living, but though she has written original fiction online for years and encouraged many new writers to keep going and follow their author dreams, it is only recently she got the courage to make her own dream a reality and actually send something off to a publisher. By day she runs her own business selling fabric (her second love) and juggling family commitments, by night she weaves the stories that the characters in her head dictate. These stories often start with pain or longing but always end with love.
